Akshay is an accomplished EMJMD Scholar and MESPOM graduate, with a Master's in Environmental Sciences, Policy, and Management. His expertise is centred on achieving climate objectives via just energy transition strategies, particularly the decarbonisation of the energy sector. An Electrical Engineering graduate, Akshay specialises in power sector decarbonisation, virtual power plants, and microgrids. He passionately contributes to climate change initiatives, offering ESG consultation, Climate Disclosure Project scoring, and scenario planning. As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, Akshay actively facilitates the implementation of the European Green Deal and aligns stakeholders with the European Commission. His international experience features projects related to Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 7 and 13, putting a strong emphasis on youth engagement. Currently, Akshay's interests revolve around energy transition, distributed variable energy technologies, and expanding low-carbon infrastructure and sustainable transport. He devotes himself to achieving net-zero ambitions through practical strategies. He shares his insights through a podcast and has authored several books geared towards aiding others in these efforts.
